World’s 10 Richest People (October 2024): Mark Zuckerberg surpassed Amazon founder Jeff Bezos on Friday to become the world’s second richest person, according to the Bloomberg Billionaire Index.
Zuckerberg, the US-based billionaire, is the CEO and co-founder of Meta (formerly known as Facebook), has a net worth is $206 billion, and is trailing only Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who has a fortune of $256 billion.
In 20 years, Meta has grown to be the world’s most widely used social media platform, with over 3 billion monthly active users, and ranks as the world’s seventh-largest corporation, having a market capitalisation of $1.255 trillion.
